Hello!
We are accepting nominations for the following positions on the NC ADN Executive Council:
President-Elect
The President-Elect is elected every odd year and serves a two-year term. At the end of the term, they will automatically step into the role of President.
Responsibilities:
- Attend monthly Executive Council meetings via Zoom
- Step in for the President when needed, whether due to absence or resignation.
- Assist the President with tasks as assigned.
- Plan and coordinate NCADN Council programs and activities.
- Send meeting notices to all associate degree nursing programs and relevant individuals.
- Continue serving as the chairperson of the Program Committee.
Secretary
The Secretary is elected every odd year and serves a two-year term.
Responsibilities:
- Attend monthly Executive Council meetings via Zoom
- Take Executive Council meeting minutes
- Handle necessary correspondence for the NCADN Council.
- Keep organized records of all meeting minutes, following Robert’s Rules of Order.
- Notify individuals of elections or committee appointments.
- Share copies of meeting minutes and correspondence with the President.
- Distribute NCADN Council meeting minutes to members within two months of each meeting.
- Provide Executive Committee members with meeting minutes within two weeks.
- Lead the Technology Committee, overseeing website and social media management.
Parliamentarian
The Parliamentarian is elected every odd year and serves a two-year term.
Responsibilities:
- Attend monthly Executive Council meetings via Zoom.
- Collects abstracts for poster presentations at the conference.
- Support the presiding officer with parliamentary procedures.
- Bring copies of the NCADN Council By-Laws and Robert’s Rules of Order to each meeting.
- Lead the By-Laws Committee as its chairperson.
